Permissions Requested:

  • General Purpose: Allows apps to open network sockets to access the internet.
  • Our Use: This permission is essential for our Apps to connect to the internet. For example, AlphaBrowser uses it to browse websites, SwiftAccess VPN Pro uses it to establish VPN connections, Smart Translate uses it to access translation services, and A Clear Space might use it for displaying ads (if applicable) or updating its definitions.
• android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (All Files Access - Android 11 and above)
  • General Purpose: Allows an application to have broad access to files in shared storage. This is a sensitive permission typically required by apps whose core functionality involves managing files, such as file managers or backup apps.
  • Our Use: For an app like "A Clear Space," this permission could be used to identify and manage unnecessary files (e.g., cache, residual files, large files) to help users free up storage space. We will only request this permission when it is essential for the core functionality of cleaning and managing files on devices running Android 11 or newer, and we will use it responsibly and solely for this purpose.
• android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Read External Storage - Android 10 and below)
  • General Purpose: Allows an application to read from external storage (e.g., SD card or internal shared storage).
  • Our Use: For devices running Android 10 or older, "A Clear Space" may require this permission to scan and identify files for cleaning purposes. AlphaBrowser might use this to allow users to download files or access local files. Smart Translate might use it to access files for translation. This permission is used only to enable these features.
• android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Write External Storage - Android 10 and below)
  • General Purpose: Allows an application to write to external storage.
  • Our Use: For devices running Android 10 or older, "A Clear Space" may require this permission to delete selected unnecessary files. AlphaBrowser might use this to save downloaded files.

This is often used for tasks that need to continue running even when the app is not in the immediate foreground, such as music playback or active VPN connections.
  • Our Use: SwiftAccess VPN Pro uses this permission to maintain a persistent VPN connection while the app is active or in the background, ensuring continuous protection and service. Other apps might use it for tasks that require ongoing operation, such as a large file operation in A Clear Space.
• android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE (Foreground Service Special Use)
  • General Purpose: This permission is associated with specific types of foreground services that have more stringent policy requirements. The exact usage depends on the declared foreground service type in the app's manifest.
  • Our Use: If used, this permission will be tied to a specific, policy-compliant foreground service type necessary for the core functionality of one of our Apps. For example, a VPN service is a common and accepted use case. We will ensure its use adheres strictly to Google Play's guidelines for special use foreground services.
• android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (App Usage Data Access)
  • General Purpose: Allows an app to collect information about how other apps are being used, such as how often they are launched and for how long. This is a sensitive permission.
  • Our Use: An app like "A Clear Space" might request this permission to identify unused or rarely used apps that the user might consider uninstalling to free up space or improve device performance. We will only use this data for the stated purpose of helping users manage their apps and device resources, and we will not misuse this sensitive information.
• android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (Run at Startup)
  • General Purpose: Allows an app to start itself as soon as the system has finished booting.
  • Our Use: This permission might be used by apps like SwiftAccess VPN Pro to offer an option to automatically connect to the VPN upon device startup. This functionality will be optional and configurable by the user.
• android.permission.REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES (Request App Uninstall)
  • General Purpose: Allows an application to request the deletion of packages (apps).
  • Our Use: "A Clear Space" might use this permission to allow users to uninstall applications directly from within our app as part of its storage management features. This action will always require explicit user confirmation for each uninstallation.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (Access Network State)
  • General Purpose: Allows applications to access information about network connections (e.g., whether a connection exists and if it is Wi-Fi or mobile data).
  • Our Use: All our Apps use this permission to check for internet connectivity before attempting network operations. For example, to ensure the device is online before trying to browse, translate, connect to a VPN, or fetch ad content. This helps provide a smoother user experience by avoiding errors when offline.
• android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE (Read Phone State and Identity)
  • General Purpose: Allows read-only access to phone state, including the current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device. In older Android versions, this was also used to access device identifiers. Google Play policies have strict limitations on accessing persistent device identifiers.
  • Our Use: We primarily use this permission to obtain a non-resettable device identifier (IMEI, MEID, or ESN if available and permitted by policy) or a unique device ID for analytics and to prevent fraud, particularly for services like SwiftAccess VPN Pro to manage user accounts or device-specific settings. We comply with Google Play policies regarding device identifiers and will use less intrusive identifiers when possible. For apps serving ads, this might also be used by ad networks in a policy-compliant manner. We do not use this permission to track user calls or access sensitive call information.

Third-Party SDKs and Associated Permissions

Our Apps may integrate third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) to enhance functionality, such as for displaying advertisements or analytics. These SDKs may request their own set of permissions:

• android.permission.WAKE_LOCK (Wake Lock)
  • General Purpose: Allows an app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.
  • Our Use: This permission may be used by our Apps or third-party SDKs (e.g., ad networks, or a foreground service in SwiftAccess VPN Pro) to ensure that critical tasks are completed without interruption from the device entering sleep mode. For instance, ensuring a download completes, a VPN connection remains active, or an ad is fully displayed. We strive to use wake locks minimally to conserve battery life.
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID (Google Advertising ID)
  • General Purpose: Allows apps to access the Advertising ID provided by Google Play services. This is a user-resettable ID used for advertising and analytics purposes.
  • Our Use: Our Apps may display advertisements through Google AdMob or other ad networks. This permission allows these networks to serve personalized ads based on user interests, in compliance with Google Play policies. Users can reset their Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising through their device settings.
• android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION (Access Attribution Reporting)
  • General Purpose: Allows access to ad services attribution reporting, part of Android's Privacy Sandbox initiative, designed to measure ad conversion without cross-app tracking of user identifiers.
  • Our Use: We may use this permission to understand the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns in a privacy-preserving way, by allowing ad networks to report on installs or in-app actions that result from ads.
• android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID (Access New Privacy Sandbox Ad ID)
  • General Purpose: Allows access to the new advertising ID within Android's Privacy Sandbox, which aims to enhance user privacy while supporting advertising use cases.
  • Our Use: Similar to the Google Advertising ID, this permission may be used by ad networks integrated into our Apps for advertising purposes, respecting the enhanced privacy features of the Privacy Sandbox.
• com.google.android.finsky.permission.BIND_GET_INSTALL_REFERRER_SERVICE (Install Referrer Service)
  • General Purpose: Allows an app to securely retrieve referral content (e.g., where an app install originated from) from the Google Play Store.
  • Our Use: This permission helps us understand how users discover our Apps (e.g., from an ad campaign or a specific Play Store listing). This information is used for analytics and to optimize our marketing efforts.
• android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS (Access Topics API)
  • General Purpose: Allows access to the Topics API from Android's Privacy Sandbox. This API infers coarse-grained topics of interest based on on-device app usage, allowing for interest-based advertising without tracking individual users across apps.
  • Our Use: If our Apps use advertising services that leverage the Topics API, this permission will be used to enable more relevant advertising while preserving user privacy by not sharing specific app usage data with advertisers directly.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through our Apps from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
